A Hindu wedding took place at the Sheraton Mahwah in New Jersey, and Indian weddings are typically lively and joyful occasions. I had the honor of capturing the joy and excitement of this lovely couple's special day while working as a wedding photographer.
The Sheraton Mahwah is a gorgeous wedding location with a modern aesthetic that is the ideal setting for an Indian wedding. The bride's Haldi ceremony, where family and friends applied turmeric paste to her in order to bless her with good fortune and ward off evil spirits, marked the start of the day. When everyone took part in this happy ceremony, the room was filled with excitement.
The bride's hands and feet were then decorated with elaborate henna patterns during the Mehndi ritual. Bright colors were used to decorate the space, and classical music was playing in the background. The bride waited patiently as her loved ones painted the henna, which would symbolize the couple's love and affection. This priceless event was caught on camera, and the pictures came out brilliantly.
The evening's Sangeet ceremony was a joyous occasion with with music, dance, and laughter. Brightly colored Bollywood beats were being played by the DJ in the Sheraton Mahwah's ballroom, which had everyone on their feet. Families of the pair performed traditional dances, and the bride and groom even displayed a choreographed number of their own.
The Baraat ceremony ushered in the wedding day early. The groom and his family and friends danced to the beat of the dhol as they rode up on a gorgeously decked horse. The bride's family conducted the customary Aarti and welcomed the Baraat. The outside area of the Sheraton Mahwah served as a dramatic entrance for the Baraat, and a lovely driveway led to the ballroom where the wedding ceremony was performed.
The Hindu wedding rites and contemporary features were skillfully incorporated into the ceremony. In addition to exchanging garlands and making vows, the pair also took part in a sacred fire ceremony. Elegant flowers were used to decorate the Mandap, and a lovely fountain served as the ceremony's backdrop, adding a great aesthetic aspect.
Following the wedding ceremony, we used the lovely grounds of the Sheraton Mahwah for a picture shoot with the happy couple. The venue's lovely garden served as the ideal setting for some gorgeous images. The exquisite ballroom of the Sheraton Mahwah was the venue for the reception, when the newlyweds made their triumphant entrance. Beautiful table arrangements, lavish centerpieces, and brilliant lights were used to embellish the ballroom. It was the ideal way to cap off a lovely day as the couple danced the night away with their friends and family.
The Sheraton Mahwah hosted a magnificent Hindu wedding that celebrated love, family, and tradition. The Sheraton Mahwah, with its gorgeous outdoor settings, magnificent ballroom, and first-rate service, served as the ideal venue for this grand event. I considered it an honor to document the emotions and special moments that made this day so memorable as a wedding photographer. It was a wedding to genuinely remember.
